The Airport Section (Birchwood Park) is located in Madison Twp. on the southwest side of the City of Adrian near W. Beecher (M-34) and US-223. Platted between 1951-1955 with construction extending at least into the late 1960s, this is a very popular neighborhood with many examples of Mid-Century Modern architecture (primarily ranches, clean and simple design, emphasis on a lot of windows and floorplans that work well for growing families). There are two points of access on each side of the tall (N/S) rectangle that encloses the neighborhood. Interior streets are:
- Airport Rd., the boundary on the north and west sides and also the best route (east and north from the neighborhood) to the corner of S. Madison St. and W. Beecher St. (M-34) and US-223 nearby.
- W. Cadmus Rd., the southern boundary and a good route to the intersection of US-223 and M-52 at the city's southside, just north of Madison Center and Madison Twp. offices and public safety / emergency services.
- Elmwood Dr., the east boundary
- Mac Arthur Dr.
- Park Dr.
- Birchwood Dr.
- Sharon Dr.
- Adams Ct.
- Tayler Dr.
