Cement City is a small village located in the northwest corner of Lenawee County (Woodstock Twp.), with a small portion extending into Jackson County (Columbia Twp.) Hillsdale County is only a couple of miles west. Cement City population was 438 in the 2010 U.S. Census. The village and adjacent properties make up one neighborhood. Most housing is located along County Line Rd. (both sides) at the north, and along / between Woodstock St. on the east, Lewis Rd. on the south and Peninsular Rd. on the west side. Addresses include Parker St., Perrin St., Potter Ave., Irvin St. Brooks St. Main St., and Neill St.

Cement City is very close to lakes in all three counties:
• Goose Lake (200 water acres/no development) & Little Goose Lake (14 water acres/ no development) in Lenawee
• Lake Columbia (man-made lake/840 water acres/ fully developed) & Clark Lake (580 water acres/fully developed) in Jackson
• Lake Somerset (190 water acres/fully developed), Crystal Lake (92 water acres/ developed), Perch Lake (37 water acres/developed) and Lake LeAnn (466 water acres/fully developed) in Hillsdale.
Cement City is also close to Manitou Beach-Devils Lake-Round Lake, Michigan International Speedway and more in Lenawee, plus state game preserves and Bundy Hill Off Road Recreation in Hillsdale County.

Columbia School District (Jackson County) is the resident school district. While Michigan is a "School of Choice" state, participation in choice programs is optional for districts.
