The Clinton Schools Neighborhood includes houses and subdivisions immediately adjacent to the Clinton Public Schools expansive campus (Pre-School through High School, Administration, athletic and other facilities). The campus and subdivisions are all located east of Tecumseh-Clinton Rd. and south of E. Michigan Ave. (US-12). Houses on the west side of this neighborhood are from some of the earliest plats in the village and their plat boundaries and names are no longer relevant, since many houses were replaced over the years. Very popular "Oak Openings" and "Calhoun Farms Estates The Meadows" subdivisions and some single-builds and small developments make up the rest of the neighborhood. Calhoun Farms has its own neighborhood description. Oak Openings Subdivision, as built, differs considerably from the plat recorded in 1973. It runs north to south on both sides of Sunset Dr. from Kehoe Rd. to Clinton-Macon Rd. with more development than originally planned. Oak Openings includes affordable homes within walking distance to schools, the Smith-Kimball Community Center and downtown. Eden Foods, a pioneer in the creation of the U.S. national organic foods industry, is located near the south end of Oak Openings and is a matter of Hometown Pride in Clinton.

On the whole, the Clinton Schools Neighborhood offers a broad range of options to suit nearly every budget and situation, while solidly delivering on the benefits and joys of living in a small village.
