Oak Openings Subdivision, as built, differs considerably from the plat recorded in 1973. It runs north to south on both sides of Sunset Dr. from Kehoe Rd. to Clinton-Macon Rd. with more development than originally planned. Oak Openings includes affordable homes within walking distance to schools, the Smith-Kimball Community Center and downtown. Eden Foods, a pioneer in the creation of the U.S. national organic foods industry, is located near the south end of Oak Openings and is a matter of Hometown Pride in Clinton.
