Tipton, an unincorporated place in Franklin Township, stretches in all four directions from the intersection of Tipton Hwy. and W. Monroe Rd. (M-50). Most houses front on one of these two roads. There ae some open spaces between developments. There is a wide range of house styles, ages and conditions. A newer, small subdivision is located at the east boundary of the Tipton neighborhood on the north side of M-50; the entry road is Walnut Dr. and Shady Dr. is in the north portion of the development.
